Yep, it's the same dragon from "Face of Change". I was getting annoyed at working for so long on other drawings and having nothing to show for it. Mrf. I'm impatient.

The ear isn't supposed to be there, but it wanted to be, so...there we go. And I still can't get that horn to look right. The reason there's always that light strip in the middle is because there's a hole right through the horn. One of these days I'll show it proper.

A semi-quickie drawing (~40 minutes). It was kind of a test of doing heads from a different perspective than I normally do: back 3/4. Turned out okay, though it would've looked better had I left the eye alone instead of continuing to mess with it when it was fine the way it was. Grr. Argh.

Single, white Prismacolor Verithin (love those) on black paper. 9 x 12 inches.

Anyhow, I don't see what your problem with they eye is... it looks interesting to me and pretty good. The ear does seem to fit, somehow, so good job there. As for the perspective experiment, it seems to me like the picture is trying to convey a perspective with the back half of the head, the neck, the back part of the jaw, and the horn that doesn't quite match up with the main "beak". I think the beak provides a bit of a mismatch with the rest of the picture perspective-wise.

Note that I am trying to provide a somewhat useful critique because I'm sure you're tired of my constant praise. ;-]

I'm sorry. ;)

Before I messed with it too much, the eye really made the face look like it was pointing away from the viewer. It still does, but not as well.

The muzzle looked worse, actually. I tried fixing it so it didn't look more "face on," but I couldn't get it right no matter how much I tried. I really don't know how to fix it. *sigh*

You know how much I grumble about my drawings, so praise is nice. Though critique is always welcome, too, so keep right on doin' that. I can't know if others see mistakes if they don't tell me. :-]

I don't know, I rather like the look of the horn. It seems to fit the position, perspective, and lighting. What is it that bothers you about it?

It's just the center of the horn. There's supposed to be a hole clear through it, but I can never to get it to look like a hole.... Hmph. :P

Glad ya like it, though!
