BG, D&D, and most RPGs have encumbrance limits/rules, but still, my characters seem to be packrats, always ending up with a large assortment of random (and mostly useless) crap. The most amusing encumbrance rules I've ever come across, however, were with the home-grown Adventure Quest tabletop RPG at Purdue. The rules? Well, they were kind of nonexistent. You couldn't carry a house or a trebuchet around with you, but other than obvious stuff like that, no one really cared. My aerodrako character had a full page (typed, two columns) of junk, most of which she carried around everywhere. It was quite amusing.
Oh god yes... xD It's pretty silly~ In Icewind Dale II I was caring around a dead cat for awhile because I thought it might lead to a quest like in BG I. It didn't.
