Cake - JWST

I was going through last year's photos for something else when I noticed that I never posted this!  I made this cake as a thank you to my graduate advisor for being such an awesome advisor/mentor through my tumultuous years of grad school.  Without him, I highly doubt I would've made it through grad school, and for that I'll ever be grateful.  Thank you, George!

The telescope is the soon-ish-to-be-launched James Webb Space Telescope.  My advisor and his wife are PIs for two instruments on the telesope--MIRI and NIRCAM, respectively--and if JWST launches (and unfolds) successfully, I will definitely apply for time, as I do IR research and there aren't any more IR telescopes planned other than this one.  (So if it doesn't work, I'm kinda screwed.)

Anyway, as usual, this creation is made entirely of cake and icing, drawn freehand.
